Charitable bequests are the most popular and easiest way to make a planned gift to any charitable organization. Simply stated, a bequest is a transfer via a will or a living trust of cash, securities, or tangible property to an individual or a charity. Bequests can be made for a specific amount, for a percentage of your estate, or even for all or a portion of what is left after you have made specific bequests to your family and others.

Please contact us if you have included Walsh in your will or any other type of planned gift.

Gifts In Kind are donations of much-needed supplies and assistance. These can include donations of items such as chairs, art supplies, musical instruments, bookcases, and file cabinets. In-kind gifts also include gifts of service such as legal, accounting, financial, printing, computer support, and professional skilled trade assistance including electrical, plumbing, or construction work.  If you’d like to donate one of the following, you can follow the link and have the package sent directly to the school at 208 N. 24th Street, Olean NY 14760.

You might be able to make your donation go farther. Many companies encourage employees to donate to their favorite charities by matching their contributions, sometimes dollar-for-dollar or more.

To find out if your company will match your donation to STCS/Walsh, please contact your employer’s Human Resources Department.

If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it to the school completed and signed with your gift. Our Development office will do the rest. The impact of your gift to School may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Scrip fundraising is a no-selling program that enables families to raise money for their non-profit organization (NPO). Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards. Scrip (gift card) orders are placed with the Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) at face value and the schools receive an instant rebate.

There are two ways to participate:

  • First, you may create your own account on-line at shopwithscrip.comand using the School Enrollment Code (B965A19754LL9) to place a direct order
  • Second: you may purchase gift cards from your organization at face value, and your coordinator orders those cards for you from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a reduced price.
