Archbishop Walsh Academy/Southern Tier Catholic School provides world-class education rooted in faith-based values. Values that are needed today more than ever. As an International Baccalaureate Programme School, every year our graduates get accepted to U.S. News Top 100 Colleges and Universities. The connection is obvious. Great schools prize IB students for the academic and life skills learned here.
The IB Programme is a special option many students choose to become enlightened 21st century global citizens – and to position themselves for postsecondary and career success. Walsh/STCS is the lone school that offers IB in the Southern Tier. Of course, it comes with a cost (annual licensing and training fees for teachers and administrators to implement it). We need your help this Cattaraugus Gives Day to reach our $40,000 fundraising goal to offset these costs for the International Baccalaureate Diploma program.
Why the IB Programme for Cattaraugus Gives?
Our graduating class of 2022 received over $2.5 million dollars in scholarships. Over the past few years, our students have been accepted to such great schools as: Boston College, Clemson University, Georgetown University, Holy Cross, Hofstra University, Virginia Tech, St. Bonaventure University, Penn State, Geneseo, Muhlenberg College, College of Wooster, among many others. These success stories wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of community givers like you.
For many years, Walsh/STCS has provided students with a foundation for lifelong excellence. We are now, more than ever, committed to enriching each child’s spiritual, physical, emotional and social development. By nurturing strong Catholic virtues and moral values, we prepare our students for success in a society that demands both intellectual and social intelligence. Please help us to continue providing this fantastic educational resource to local students.
Let’s build the next generation of great thinkers and doers. In turn, they’ll support our area for years to come.
Thank you for your support,
Colleen M. Taggerty, Ed.D.
