OLEAN — Archbishop Walsh Academy will soon add more names to its Military Wall of Honor.
The private, Catholic high school will add the names and ranks of 11 veterans who have graduated from Walsh during an induction ceremony Nov. 9.
It will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the school chapel, where the names of each inductee will be read by the students from the Class of 2019. The ceremony will then move to the school gymnasium, where the entire student body will participate in a discussion about World War I led by humanities teacher Lee Filbert. The Walsh select choir will sing and “In Flanders Field” will be recited by a student from the senior class.
The event is open to the public.
