Southern Tier Catholic School (STCS) was ranked the #1 Elementary School out of 290 public and private elementary schools in western New York (by Buffalo Business First) in both 2010 and 2011 and has remained one of the top-ranked schools over the past five years. The Middle School was also ranked #1 in Cattaraugus and Allegany counties. STCS provides instruction for kindergarten through eighth grade and celebrates the ultimate diversity of each child as a unique gift from God.  STCS exceeds state curriculum requirements while emphasizing values, discipline, respect for self and others and high standards. Students at STCS can take advantage of the new Classrooms of the Future - technology based learning labs that prepare the students for future educational opportunities while broadening their perspective of the world. The school is led by high quality teachers that meet or exceed requirements for state certification - all of whom are dedicated to making a difference in your child's life.  STCS offers a Catholic education that serves every student exceptionally well - regardless of religious background and boasts a world-class student to teacher ratio of 13:1 for grades K-8.

STCS is a values-based education, with an open and welcoming environment for all area students. Our affiliation with local parishes and our Catholic heritage strengthen and inform our commitment to diversity. In fact, more than 20% of our students come from families of multiple cultures, countries and faith traditions. Our students are involved in school wide community service projects including: Pennies for Peace, Coat Drive and Food Drive as well as other classroom based and individual community service projects. STCS students also participate in the Challenger Center for math and science enrichment located on the St. Bonaventure University campus.
