Annual Fund - Walsh Fund For Excellence
The Walsh Fund for Excellence / Annual Fund is the primary way in which alumni, parents and friends support the school by making a philanthropic gift to the schools every year. The Annual Fund supports the missions of the schools by providing funds for programs, financial assistance for students, professional development opportunities for faculty and general operating budget assistance. Each year, the STCS and Walsh community receive a letter in the mail asking for their support to the Annual Fund. A phonathon conducted by Walsh students follows during the winter months - allowing us the opportunity to speak personally with as many alumni as possible and share the experiences of our current students. Quite simply - every gift counts - and we thank all those in our community who have chosen to give annually.

Matching Gifts
An important component to any gift we receive is the matching gift. If you or your spouse are employees (or retirees) of a company that matches charitable donations, you can multiply the impact of your gift to STCS and Walsh. A company will match a gift of an employee or retiree once the proper form has been completed. When making a donation, check to see if your company or your spouses' company offers a matching gift program. Submit the matching gift form with your gift to STCS/Walsh and we will complete the form and return it to the matching gift office for payment. It costs you nothing but can significantly increase your gift to the schools.
Endowment
These permanently invested funds generate income each year that may be designated to provide financial assistance to deserving students or to support STCS and Walsh programs.
Planned Giving
Charitable bequests are the most popular and easiest way to make a planned gift to any charitable organization. Simply stated, a bequest is a transfer-via a will or a living trust-of cash, securities, or tangible property to an individual or a charity. Bequests can be made for a specific amount, for a percentage of your estate, or even for all or a portion of what is left after you have made specific bequests to your family and others. If you have already included the schools in your will, or set up another type of planned gift and have not let us know - please contact the advancement office.
Gifts In Kind
Gifts In Kind are donations of much-needed supplies and assistance. These can include donations of items such as chairs, art supplies, musical instruments, bookcases, and file cabinets. In-kind gifts also include gifts of service such as printing, computer support, and professional skilled trade assistance including electrical or plumbing work. Check with your company to see what kinds of service or pro bono work they could provide for STCS and Walsh.
