Southern Tier Catholic School is pleased to announce that Buffalo Business First has announced the middle school rankings of 211 public and private middle schools in the eight counties of Western New York, based on four years of test scores compiled by the New York State Education Department. The Middle School of STCS was overall ranked #45 - the top ranking achieved by a middle school in both Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.

This achievement is owing to the hard work of students and the dedication of faculty
and parents. The school has remained committed to academic excellence, the
results of which are demonstrated in the consistent Business First rankings over the past three years: #89 (2010), #33 (2011) and #45 (2012).

Within the analysis provided by Business First, each school has a percentile number that indicates the percentage of other schools that it outranks academically. The paper also provides subject ranks in English and math for each school, based on a separate four-year analysis of test scores. The Middle School of STCS had a percentile score of 79% and ranked 52 in English and 36 in math amongst all 211 schools.
